CW GOVERNMENT TRAVEL WINS IT'S FIRST ONLINE TRAVEL CONTRACT; RECEIVES GREEN LIGHT TO SERVE NATIONAL BUSINESS CENTER

June 25, 2004 – CW Government Travel (CWGT), part of global hospitality, travel and relationship marketing leader Carlson Companies, has been selected by National Business Center (a Federal Cross-Servicing Organization) to provide a web-based end-to-end travel management solution. Under the contract CWGT will provide federal travelers with all the necessary travel support from planning and estimating their travel, obtaining the necessary authorizations, booking reservations and processing reimbursements.

NBC serves as the systems manager and general-purpose computing host for the administrative automatic data processing systems of over 150 federal agencies. NBC currently provides eTravel migration support to 17 federal agencies.

CWGT’s electronic travel services (ETS) product E2 Solutions has the unique ability to interface with multiple Travel Management Centers, online booking engines, and back office financial and human resources management systems. In addition, the highly configurable nature of E2 Solutions will accommodate in one application the unique workflows and policies of each of the organizations that NBC supports. Carlson’s core competency in travel management made CWGT the ideal selection for the NBC’s mission.

In addition to reducing paperwork and the administrative costs of business travel, E2 Solutions can help cut expenses by providing access to low-cost airfares. The program also provides supplemental services such as consulting with the government groups that want to use the system and teaching employees how to use the travel-management program.
